Spring 2009 |
Faculty Research FundingICIS provides two main funding mechanisms for Emory College faculty to pursue international travel and research opportunities. The Faculty International Travel Grant Program provides up to $2,400 for Emory College faculty to present papers at international conferences. The faculty member must be in a regular status with a continuing appointment. The faculty member's home department must also commit to funding 20% of the cost, such that the maximum amount of funding is $3,000. ICIS announces the call for applications in September of each year for travel during the Spring and Summer terms, and in January of each year, for funding during the Summer and Fall terms. Funding decisions are usually made within 3 months of the call for applications. Applications can also be submitted for a travel grant retroactively by applying for funding during the next available funding cycle. The Faculty International Research Grant Program provides Emory College faculty with up to $15,000 in funding for international research projects. Funding is competitive and emphasis is placed on research projects that have a high likelihood of publication, subsequent external funding, career development, and/or promotion. One call for applications is made in September of each year, with the project period of the following calendar year. Please direct any questions regarding these funding programs to Corina Domozick at 712-9294 or cdomozi@emory.edu. |
