Latin American & Caribbean Studies

From our foundation in 1977, Emory's Latin American and Caribbean Studies Program has had a strong tradition of sponsoring exhibits, lectures, symposia, and performances that reflect the research interests of our affiliated faculty. Our core faculty of twenty-four Latin Americanists represents one of largest groups of faculty associated with an area studies program at Emory University. Over the last decade LACS has grown markedly and become an intellectual reference point for faculty, undergraduate and graduate students in the many different fields and departments it integrates.
